In the vinyl world, nothing beats the satisfaction you feel when you get your hands on a sought-after gem... except, maybe, when you can resell it for millions
On another note, it's not my area of expertise, but I feel like I remember reading that the lacquer disc of the Percy Phillips session (In Spite of All the Danger/That'll Be the Day) that Paul has is the most valuable record in the world. But it's never, to my knowledge, been publicly displayed nor has it ever been up for sale, so perhaps it doesn't meet the criteria in your post
Oh wow, I'm looking with significantly increased fascination at my own copy of The White Album now. I bought it just to play it, and would've every bit as happy with a good repress as with copy 578200, but the realization that it's in sequence with The Beatles' own private copies does have an appeal to it.
Fascinating piece, Andy! I'd pick the White Album. I'd forgotten the initial run was numbered. Of course, I have no idea what mine was, although I did have a numbered one. I'm so impressed by Ringo's everything....him getting his hands on it in the first place. I'm sure by that time (and far earlier, from what I've seen and heard), the guys had a firm grip on their place in history, even as they were making it!
And, then placing it in a vault, long before a secondary market for anything, really, had been established....baseball cards, certainly records, autographs, etc. By and large, things like that were saved and protected merely for posterity, memory-preserving, and museum donations.
And, when Ringo goes to sell it, he gets max dough, and bless his heart, donates it! Wealthy star or not, not every wealthy star would've gone that far, preferring to, say, pay for great-great-grandchildren's college decades into the future (looking at you, Dylan, Springsteen, and all you publishing rights dumpers! How much are YOU donating? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?)
That's my choice....the big ole 💖of Ringo! Close 2nd would be the signed "Sgt. Pepper's", but dang, would that blue Sharpies had been invented by then!!!
And simply to add to my other comment, my pick would be the fully signed Sgt. Pepper's. I have a UK repress from 1975 in great condition, but I wouldn't mind adding a 1967 mono one, especially (and most importantly!) if fully signed! What a treat!
I'd buy Double Fantasy and burn it. Something like that has no place in the world.
I LOVE that raw passion 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Just fiercely protective when it comes to John and Paul. <3
I’d gladly hold the matches for you ♥️

That’s right! And yes, that’s the reason I didn’t include it: to my knowledge, it’s never been sold, so it didn’t make the cut for this post.
But thanks a lot for mentioning it!

That’s so cool! It does indeed give it an extra special touch 😊
I'd go for Sgt. Pepper's. It's the record I'm most likely to play & enjoy from this list.
Thanks, Kevin! Me too. I already have a 1975 repress, but wouldn't mind an earlier pressing AND fully signed!

I like your style, my good man! Which is not to say I like your stylus.....now, THAT I love!😉
Thank you, Brad! I really NEEDLED to hear that!
Whoa....next-level, dood! No more calls, we have a winner!🏆
Thank you so much, Brad! I’m really glad you enjoyed it. It was definitely a lot of fun to put together.
Yes, I agree that they were visionaries, in the true sense of the word, and that Ringo’s heart is made of gold. Very moving gesture, hands down!p
