What comes first: our love of vinyl or our love of music?

Few would dispute that music comes first. It’s the air we breathe. It’s what keeps us alive in a world gone mad.

Vinyl, we tell ourselves, is our favourite way of satisfying our love of music. It’s a format we treasure because it connects us to the sounds we love.

That’s what I’ve always thought.

Until recently.

Having no access to my records for a couple of weeks whilst busy with other projects, I found myself caught up in an accidental experiment that made me question some of these assumptions.

What happens to the music when our records are gone?

Unscripted, impromptu, one-take-or-die, true Vinyl Room style. Parisian heatwave included. 🥵
